How to Apply Liquid Matte Lipstick Like A Pro
We teach you in five easy steps!
Matte lipsticks are the best because they’re long-wearing (and look GORGEOUS especially in selfies!), but unfortunately, they’re not the most forgiving, especially if you have naturally dry lips. Without proper preparation, you risk having lips that look extremely parched, cracked, and flaky.
To prevent this from happening, try these tips below:
1. Remove dry skin
Using a damp washcloth or lip scrub, slough away flaky skin to create a smooth canvas.
2. Pack on the moisture
Apply lip balm and top it off with a teeny bit of eye cream to get your pout hydrated AF. Leave it on for at least two minutes, and blot off excess moisture with a tissue.
3. Prime the lips
Wield a lip primer or a liner to act as a base for your lip color. This helps the hue stay on longer.
4. Apply with care

5. Correct when necessary
Liquid lipsticks can be tricky to apply. To finish off your look, remove the uneven application with a concealer or a cotton swab dipped in micellar water.
