As part of its 30th Anniversary celebration and a way of giving back and thanking the community that helped it grow and took it to where it is today, Ever Bilena Cosmetics Inc. initiated a tree planting activity last May 11 at the La Mesa Ecopark in Quezon City. Considered as a “mini forest” in the middle of the metropolis, La Mesa Ecopark holds the infamous La Mesa Watershed which supplies potable water to the 12 million residents of Metro Manila. With all the environmental problems that we are facing today, water shortage comes first on the list, warning us all of the awaiting damaging effects that it could bring. Ever Bilena, with its efforts in advocating for the Filipinos’ well-being, believes that a well-rounded person isn’t only beautiful on the outside but also from within. Our institution would like to help/ participate/ contribute in addressing issues that would affect the safety and welfare of the Filipinos. We also aim to be a catalyst of change for this generation for the goodness and benefit of the future generations. If one seedling is what it takes to have a greener environment, healthier Filipinos and plenty of potable water in the near future, then Ever Bilena is all up to paint the town green.

The pretty, pretty lass from Olongapo believes that it is very vital for a true beauty queen to have the heart, a heart who’s willing to be of service to others and a heart that truly cares for the Earth. Crowned also that night were Ms. Nagcarlan, Kimverlyn Suiza who bagged the Ms.Philippines – Air title, Ms. Zamboanga City, Nancy Leonard, Ms. Philippines – Water, Alma Cabasal, Ms. Philippines – Fire and Bernadette Mae Aguirre of Sta. Attended by groups from different society sectors, the parade was filled with the colors of the rainbow reminding everyone of the rich history and culture of Taytay, Rizal. Adding up to the glitz and glam of the celebration is the radiant glow of Ever Bilena’s lovely endorser, Daiana Menezes. Aside from the Float Parade, there were also street dance competition, trade exhibits, sports fest and of course, a local beauty pageant to cap off the festival. The Taytayeno’s gift of creativity is really incomparable and definitely worth a week-long celebration.
